Hi, I’m Katie and I live in Stockport with my husband and our daughter. I run amazing Messy Play Classes in Stockport!
After spending 10 years as a primary school teacher, I decided to use my enthusiasm for learning and education in the early years in Little Learners classes. Seeing children having fun and learning at the same time is something that I love.
I am so lucky to find a job that I love as much as this. It is amazing that it allows me to continue my love of teaching and spend more time with my family.
-Parents/Carers are solely responsible for their child/children at all times during Little Learners classes; for example, although care is taken to ensure materials used are non-toxic, parents/carers should take sensible precautions to ensure that materials are not ingested.
-Please be aware that some activities involve materials which can become slippery so extra care must be taken. Children should walk around the hall and not run.
-Little Learners Stockport or any of their staff are not responsible for any loss or injury during the class.
-No refunds will be given if you cannot attend or you change your mind.
– There will be no refunds for missed classes. You will not be able to carry classes forward if they are missed. Classes cannot be transferred to another child. Only the child booked on can attend the session.
-You must declare all allergies/ relevant medical conditions during registration and keep us up-to-date should this change by emailing us at katie@littlelearnersuk.com
-Please wear old clothes that you and your child are comfortable to move about in and would not be worried about getting wet or marked. Little Learners takes no responsibility for clothes which are stained, marked or damaged.
Little Learners is a wonderful way to engage young children and develop their physical skills such as core strength and coordination, as well as social and communication skills.
Enjoying messy play sessions helps to develop their early writing skills too. Each week we practise a different shaped mark. As the children practise making marks, we will start to show them how to form letters and numbers. This is great for getting them ready for school!
Classes are all mixed ages with activities to suit babies up to pre-schoolers. This means that they are great for siblings; we also offer a fantastic sibling discount.
My aim is that my classes are relaxed, welcoming and fun, enabling you to spend time with your child and help them to develop skills they will need for the future. In addition it is also a great place to chat and meet other parents.
Come and join in some messy play sessions in Stockport!
I look forward to meeting you and getting messy! Any questions please just ask.
Our Little Learners Parties are loads of fun!
We can tailor sessions to your child’s interests and provide a choice of resources to suit your needs and budget. We can do ‘cake smashes’ which are lots of messy fun! The party can be themed according to your child’s interests, for example, Peppa Pig, Frozen or cars and diggers.
The party room typically will be set up with (themed) messy trays, sensory play, painting and drawing stations, play dough, crafts and dance area.
Your party can be set up at a venue of your choice – we bring everything required, deliver the session and clear up all the mess afterwards – what could be better?

“We really enjoyed ourselves at Little Learners – the theme was The Gingerbread Man and there were so many different experiences for my little girl, including wet and dry sensory trays, craft, playdough, drawing, painting, slushy slime – and more! Katie had put so much care and attention into the set up, and ensured everyone was involved – such brilliant ideas for the kids to play with, and suitable for a wide variety of ages. We’ll definitely be going back for more” Kasia (on hoop) attended with a 2 and a half year old
