About me

Hi Everyone, I’m Emma and I’m the proud owner of Little Learners Edinburgh South, Mid & East Lothian. I am delighted to be bringing these award-winning children messy play classes to Edinburgh. Currently, I run classes in Midlothian and I will be bringing classes to surrounding areas in the near future.

I am a Mummy of two gorgeous children, Harrison who is 8 and Ruby who is 6 and I am a part time Early Years Teacher too. Getting messy and creating play environments is my passion and I love it!

I have been teaching for 15 years and I thoroughly enjoy being part of children’s education. Being a Little Learners Teacher gives me a new challenge and the flexibility to spend more time with my children.

What is Little Learners all about?

My Little Learners classes are all about educational messy fun, engaging babies and children in sensory and exploratory play, encouraging them to start mark making and learn basic skills for prewriting; lines, arches, circles and zigzags. We teach each mark with help of the ‘Mark Makers’; four lovely little characters who each represent a pre-writing mark and engage your children with singing, dancing and most importantly, mark making through messy play.

I feel privileged to be part of a company who deliver such a unique and meaningful experience for children. Hey, who wouldn’t love to go to work everyday to make glittery rainbows and gloopy monsters?

My classes have a relaxed and friendly vibe. This is your time to spend with your child while you watch them grow and have fun learning together in a relaxed environment. Meeting new friends and having a blether is all part of it too. Perfect!

Party Packages

I love hosting Little Learners Parties! It is a more unusual way to celebrate your little one’s birthday than a normal soft play or leisure centre and yet more creative, fun and engaging. We tailor the party to your child’s interest so whether it is Peppa Pig, Disney Princesses, Dinosaurs or Marvel Superheroes that they are into, we can match their party exactly to a chosen theme making it feel completely personalised. A ‘Cake Smash’ is very popular and a really fun way for the birthday child and their friends to celebrate.

The party room would be set up with a variety of themed messy and dry trays, painting and drawing station, fine motor skills station, play dough and a dance area. Our Party Package starts from £110 for up to 15 children at a venue of your choice where we set up, deliver the party and clear up too. What could be better?
